Thanksgiving & Shinrin-Yoku (森林浴)

Updated: Jan 11

Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving and time to embrace "forest bathing"

Happy Thanksgiving from the GLIM team! While this year will be very different for many of us, please consider celebrating Thanksgiving by pulling yourself away from life's stressors by getting outdoors for a new experience in nature.

At GLIM we recommend Shinrin-Yoku (森林浴), a traditional Japanese therapy which translates to "Forest Bathing." The term is synonymous with "taking in the forest atmosphere," and is accompanied by a mountain of scientific literature establishing its efficacy as a wellness promoter.

"Taking in the forest atmosphere" has health benefits

Forest Bathing has become a pivotal exercise in Japanese preventative medicine, offering profound rejuvenating and restorative benefits such as reduced blood pressure and improved mental health, along with increased cognition, focus, immunity, and overall energy and improved fitness.

So get outside in nature and start reaping the many tangible benefits of Forest Bathing, and please post pictures of yourself Forest Bathing with #GLIMForestBathing!

Share your Forest Bathing with #GLIMForestBathing

To your best health!
